Paul was beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned, and relentless. Timothy was younger, sometimes fearful, but faithful — a young man still discovering the depth of what he carried. Together they were unstoppable. One seasoned by fire, one being shaped by it.
Paul’s final words to Timothy weren’t a farewell — they were a charge: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” He wasn’t just reporting his own story. He was handing Timothy the baton.

About These Stones
Two granite stones from the shores of Plymouth, Massachusetts — shaped by tide and time, carried here by the Creator’s hand. Both are granite at their core, but no two could look more different — which makes them exactly right for Paul and Timothy.

Paul — deep blue-grey to near-black granite, heavily iron-stained, with a dramatic mass of milky to translucent quartz erupting across the face. The dark biotite and hornblende minerals give it a brooding, battle-worn exterior. Then the quartz breaks through — chunky, crystalline, impossible to miss. Seasoned on the outside. Something unbreakable within.

Timothy — warm buff and amber granite, rust-toned from iron oxide blooming through the matrix, with a bold white quartz inclusion sweeping diagonally across the face like a sash. Coarser and more open in texture than the dark stone. Warmer in every sense. Hidden strength still breaking through the surface.
Granite is New England’s bedrock — the foundation everything else is built on. These two stones were formed together, carried together, and ended up on the same shore. That’s not nothing.
