Plymouth, Massachusetts — America's Hometown — has welcomed travelers for centuries. And the stones beneath our feet here, have likely traveled even longer. Geologists believe many of Plymouth's beach stones made their journey across the Atlantic, carried by glaciers and ocean currents from the shores of Spain, Portugal, and France. What you hold in your hand may have once rested on a European beach, long before the Mayflower ever set sail.
