Before she said yes, God had already said her name.
The story of Isaac and Rebekah is one of the most tender in all of scripture — a servant sent on a mission, a prayer whispered at a well, and a woman who said yes without hesitation to a journey she couldn't fully see. When Rebekah lifted her eyes and saw Isaac for the first time, she covered her face with her veil. He loved her, and was comforted.
It is a story of divine appointment. Of a love that was chosen before it was felt. Of two people brought together not by chance, but by the quiet, faithful hand of God.
The Stones
These are not subtle. They stop you.
Both stones are likely New England pink granite — coarse-grained, mineral-rich, and alive with color in a way that most beach stones simply aren't. Across each face, large salmon and coral feldspar crystals are scattered through a matrix of blue-grey quartz and dark green hornblende, the minerals interlocked and visible to the naked eye — no two patches the same, no two angles identical.
The pink is warm. The grey-blue is cool. The dark green grounds it all. Together the effect is almost painterly — like something deliberately composed rather than formed over millions of years deep in the earth and carried to the New England shore by glaciers.
One stone leans lighter and more cream-toned, the coral feldspar dominant and soft. The other carries more of the dark blue-grey quartz and hornblende, the pink breaking through in bold patches like warmth refusing to be covered. Different in character. Unmistakably made for each other.
Polished, these would be extraordinary. Raw, they already are.
