"And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken." — Daniel 2:42
Some things were never meant to fully merge. And yet, here they are — together.
In Daniel's vision, the great statue had feet of iron and clay — two materials, side by side, each with its own strength and its own weakness, unable to fully become one. It was not a flaw in the design. It was the point. The tension between them was the message.
These two raw New England stones carry that same tension beautifully. Dark bands cut through warm rust and cream like a line drawn by something older than memory. Pitted surfaces tell of pressure, of time, of forces that shaped without softening. They are not delicate. They are not decorative. They are the kind of stones that make you stop and look twice.
Two stones. Two natures. One set that belongs together.
