About These Stones

Hand-selected from the shores of Plymouth, MA, these are natural gabbro beach stones — a coarse-grained igneous rock formed deep within the earth's crust, essentially the slow-cooled cousin of basalt. Their dramatic charcoal-black base is studded with scattered feldspar crystals in white, cream, and amber — a texture sometimes called “spotted gabbro.” Each stone in the pair has its own character: one bold with sweeping crystal streaks, one quieter and speckled. Both unmistakably New England. Sea-worn and one of a kind.
